Psalm 121 – Song of Salvation and Protection

A Song of Ascents.

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; where will my help come from? 

My help comes from the G-d who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to stumble; He who guards you will not slumber.

Behold, He who guards Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.

G-d is your guardian, G-d is your shade; He stands at your right side.

The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night.

G-d will guard you from all evil, He will guard your soul.

G-d will guard your going and your coming, now and forever.

Psalm 145

A psalm of praise; of David.

I will exalt You, my G-d, the King, and I will bless Your name for ever and ever. 

Every day will I bless You, and I will praise Your name for ever and ever.

Great is G-d, and highly to be praised; His greatness is beyond comprehension.

Each generation shall laud Your works to the next, and shall declare Your mighty acts. 

The glorious splendor of Your majesty, and Your wondrous works I will recall. 

Men will speak of the might of Your tremendous acts; and I will tell of Your greatness. 

They will recount Your famous great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness.

G-d is gracious and full of compassion; slow to anger, and shows us great mercy. 

G-d is good to all and is merciful to all His works.

All Your works shall praise You, G-d; and Your holy people bless You. 

They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your might;

To make known to the children of men His mighty acts,

And the glorious majesty of His kingdom. 

Your kingdom is a kingdom for all ages, and Your dominion will endure throughout all generations. 

G-d supports all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down. 

The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due season.

Thou open Your hand, and satisfy every living thing’s desires.

G-d is righteous in all His ways, and gracious in all His works. 

G-d is close to all who call upon Him, to all who truly call upon Him.

He will fulfil the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

G-d protects all who love Him and He will destroy all the wicked.

My mouth shall praise G-d; may all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.
